【概要】

540C(McLaren 540C)は、イギリスの自動車メーカー、マクラーレン・オートモーティブが製造・販売しているスポーツカー。570Sの派生モデルで、これに続くスポーツ・シリーズの第二弾。2015年4月の上海モーターショーで発表された。馬力は540PSに抑えられ、スポーツシリーズの中でもエントリーモデルという立ち位置。 先に登場した570S クーペ同様に30カ国以上の主要なマーケットで展開される。
0-100km/h加速3.5秒、0-200km/h加速10.5秒、最高速320km/h、パワーウエイトレシオ：412ps/t。

The McLaren 540C is a sports car designed and manufactured by McLaren Automotive. It was unveiled at the New York International Auto Show in 2015. McLaren predict the model will help triple the company's sales volume by 2020, with UK pricing scheduled at 143,250 GBP, whilst North American pricing is estimated at 180,000 USD.

The new 540C Coupe is a classic sports car with a mid-mounted engine, rear-wheel drive layout and a carbon fibre chassis. The M838TE twin-turbo V8 engine produces 540PS (533bhp) and 540nm, with 30 percent of components bespoke to the Sports Series. Power is delivered through a seven-speed SSG transmission and transmitted to the road via Pirelli P-Zero™ tyres, and this power is brought under control with standard-fit carbon ceramic brakes. The Sports Series has its own newly developed suspension system along with ‘Normal’, ‘Sport’ and ‘Track’ handling settings.
