【概要】

S30 悪魔のZ 後期バージョン
「悪魔のZ」こと、湾岸ミッドナイトの主人公「朝倉 アキオ（あさくら アキオ）」の乗るS30型フェアレディZ。ミッドナイトブルーで塗装されたその車は、まるで意思を持つかのように、また「くるおしく身をよじるように」走り、主人公の手に渡るまでに何度もクラッシュを繰り返し、数々の死亡者や負傷者を出したことから「悪魔のZ」として伝説化した。
悪魔のZは当初、「北見 淳（きたみ じゅん）」以外には整備出来ない（非常に高い技術でチューニングされているため）とされていたが、後期では「大田 和夫（おおた かずお）」の娘である「大田 リカコ（おおた リカコ）」が主に整備を担当している。
そもそも悪魔のZは、物語序盤にトラックと絡む大事故を起こし炎上。そのまま廃車になるはずであったが、これをアキオと「高木 優一（たかぎ ゆういち）」が修理して復活させた車両。これを皮切りに、様々な最新型スポーツカーに対抗するため、オイルの潤滑方式をドライサンプに変更してエンジンの搭載位置を下げたり、ルーフを切ってカーボン製ルーフを装着したり、アンダーパネルを装着することで、旧車のネックとなるコーナリング性能を上げるなどの大規模な改造が施されている。また、北見がパワーを重視しあえて切り捨てていた低速域の調整をリカコが行ったことにより、全速度域でのエンジンの「つながり」が発揮されるようになった。

Mod情報

With the technology that Tominaga implemented on the car, the engine's full power was able to be seen. This wouldn't have been possible without the upgrades that Tominaga had provided. They were able to make the devil z better than it had ever been.

The devil Z, considered one of Kitami's best work, is given to a young tuner named Rikako. Although she did not do any work on the actual engine, she integrated a dry sump system and removed the oil tank from beneath the engine. This allowed her to mount the engine 40mm below where it previously had been.

Takagi replaced the under panel, which allowed the rectification of the air underneath the car. With this modification, the devil Z was able to consistently reach and stabilize at 300km/h. The blueprint of the under panel was made of wood, and the final product was made of carbon fiber.
