星野 好造（ほしの こうぞう）

神業的なアクセルワークから、峠の神様「ゴッドフット」と呼ばれている、太り気味な土建屋社長。昔は結構女にモテたらしい。
特徴的なのはバトル中に常にしゃべりつつけていることであり、時々奇声を発することすらある。それは本来、彼が誰よりも熱くなるタイプの走り屋であるがゆえに集中しすぎてしまうのを防ぐため、しゃべり続けることによって常に冷静さと客観性を失わないよう思い付いた方法であり、城島俊也曰く「気持ちのクーリングシステム」。逆に星野がしゃべらなくなるということは相手の実力が高い証拠でもある。啓介とのバトルでも2本目の途中から、思想こそあれど黙り込んでしまっている。
大のGT-R愛好家で、本人曰く「オレは金はあるけど（ベンツやフェラーリを指して）そんなもんにはまったく興味ねぇ。オレは死ぬまでGT-Rだ!」と発言しており、今までにR32→R33→R32→R34と4台乗り継いできている。
GT-Rは本来ドリフトが難しいマシンだが、アクセルワークの達人である彼は、いとも簡単にドリフトに持ち込むことができ、そのテクニックは東堂商会の社長も説明がつかないほど。

Kozo Hoshino (星野 好造 Hoshino Kōzō), affectionately called Ko-chan (好ちゃん Kō-chan), is one of the top two racers in Purple Shadow and also part of a two-man team of middle-aged racers, along with Toshiya Joshima. He is known by the name of "God Foot" due to his extraordinary acceleration control and his ability to drift the BNR34 with the ATTESA E-TS 4WD system activated, which is considered almost impossible. He shouts exclamations, kiais, and grunts during a race in order to keep himself from over concentrating. If he becomes silent and concentrates too hard, he will drive without braking, which would cause him to crash. He prefers the GT-R over other cars such as Ferraris and Lamborghinis, saying he could easily afford them but could care less. Also, he states that he'll drive the GT-R til death, as the R32 had left an indelible impression on him when he drove it for the first time.
