【概要】

初代G35と同様に日産・スカイラインの姉妹車であるが、クーペは3.7LのVQ37VHRエンジンを搭載したため車名がG37クーペに変更された。
ベースとなる日本国内での車両は、12代目となるV36型スカイライン。新機構VVEL（バルブ作動角・リフト量連続可変システム）を採用した新開発「VQ37VHR」（333馬力）ユニットを搭載、フルレンジ電子制御5速オートマチック、もしく6速マニュアルトランスミッションの設定。日産独自のシステム「4輪アクティブステア（4WAS）」を採用し、ステアリング操作に対する前後のタイヤの切れ角を車速に応じて調整することで、低中速では思い通りの、高速では安定した滑らかで無駄のない走りを実現させる。インテリアは、高級感を高める手縫いの平行ステッチを採用した本革巻ステアリング、軽量で剛性感の高いマグネシウムを採用したパドルシフトなどにより、走る楽しさを演出する。その他装備として、バイキセノンヘッドランプ、自動的にヘッドランプの照射範囲を変化させるアクティブAFSなどを標準とする。

In the fall of 2010 Infiniti released its new performance division, Infiniti Performance Line (IPL). The debut IPL offering is the G37 Coupe for 2011 model year, and later the G37 Convertible. The IPL models featured a retuned engine producing 348 hp (260 kW), more aggressive body kits, new alloy wheels, retuned suspension for better handling, a few other minor tweaks. Inside, the IPL G37 has red Monaco leather seats. The IPL G37 Coupe and Convertible are only available in 2 colours; Graphite Shadow gray metallic and Malbec Black. Like the regular models, the IPL G37 was also renamed IPL Q60 beginning 2014 model year.
