【概要】

3代目プリウス（PRIUS）は、世界トップとなる燃費性能38.0km/Lと、2.4L車並の動力性能を実現。さらに、標準の走行モードに加え、シーンにあわせて選べる3つのドライブモード、「エコドライブモード」、「パワーモード」、モーターのみで静かな走行を実現する「EVドライブモード」を設定。99馬力を発生する1.8Lガソリンエンジンに、82馬力のモーター、システム全体で136馬力相当の出力とする。

The Prius is a front wheel drive hatchback automobile with a front positioned engine, sold by Toyota. The Toyota Prius's engine is a naturally aspirated petrol, 1.8 litre, double overhead camshaft 4 cylinder with 4 valves per cylinder. In this application it produces 98 bhp (99 PS/73 kW) of power at 5200 rpm, and maximum torque of 142 N·m (105 lb·ft/14.5 kgm) at 4000 rpm. The engine powers the wheels via a continuously variable transmission. Its stated kerb weight is 1310 kg.
