The Toyota MR2 is a two-seat, mid-engined, rear-wheel-drive sports car. It was designed to be small with an economical powerplant, but sporty in style and handling. The first generation model, known by the AW11 code, has angular lines similar to an origami structure and is relatively lightweight. The US market received a supercharged version, using the 4A-GZE engine, which produced 145 horsepower and 140 pound-feet of torque. This extra performance allows the supercharged AW11 to reach 62mph in 6.5 seconds. The supercharged version also comes with stiffer suspension and special 'teardrop' wheels.
