【概要】

ホンダ PRELUDE（プレリュード）タイプS
スタイリッシュな3ナンバー専用ワイド&ローボディに、スポーティなインテリアを組み合わせたホンダのスペシャリティモデルがプレリュード「タイプS」。エンジンはグレード中もっともスポーティな220馬力DOHCのH22A型2.2Lを搭載する。組み合われるミッションはタイプSは5速MTのみとなる。ATはSマチックとよばれるゲート式セレクターを持つタイプで、セレクトレバーをD4レンジから右側にずらすことで、マニュアルライクな操作が可能。サスペンションは前後ともにダブルウイッシュボーン。プレリュードのアイデンティティともいえるサンルーフは、全車にオプションで用意される。全車に安全機構としてデュアルエアバッグ、ABSを標準で装着する。

The Honda Prelude SiR is a front wheel drive motor car, with the engine located in the front, and a 2 door coupé body. Powering the Honda Prelude SiR is a double overhead camshaft, 2.2 litre naturally aspirated 4 cylinder engine, with 4 valves per cylinder that provides power and torque figures of 197 bhp (200 PS/147 kW) at 6800 rpm and 219 N·m (162 lb·ft/22.3 kgm) at 5500 rpm respectively. The power is delivered to the wheels through a 4 speed automatic gearbox. The Honda Prelude SiR weighs a stated 1290 kg at the kerb.
