【概要】

Bugatti（ブガッティ） EB110 GT 1994

ブガッティの創立者であるエットーレ・ブガッティの誕生からちょうど110年目の1991年、フランスのヴェルサイユとパリ近郊のラ・デファンスで「EB110GT」を発表。車名はエットーレ・ブガッティのイニシャルEBと生誕110年の110をとって付けられた。
排気量3,499 cc V型12気筒DOHC60バルブエンジンに4基の石川島播磨重工業（現IHI）製ターボチャージャーを装着し、ミッドシップに縦置きに搭載している。1気筒あたりの排気量が少なく、ボア×ストロークは81 mm×56.6 mmとショートストロークであるため、8,000 rpmで最高出力560 PSを絞り出す超高回転型のエンジンに仕上がっている。
組み合わせられるトランスミッションは6速MTで、長いV12の横に並行して配置される。駆動方式は差動制限機能を持つトルセンデフを使用する機械式フルタイム4WD。
シャシは炭素繊維強化プラスチック（CFRP）製で、フランスの航空機メーカーアエロスパシアルが生産を担当。カーボンモノコックシェルに被さるボディ自体はアルミ合金製。
