【概要】
MINI クーパー クーペ R58 2011
英国BMWグループからリリースされる、2世代目となるMINIファミリーの5番目のモデル「クーペ」を設定。量産モデルとしては初めて2シーター・クーペのコンセプトを採用している。空力性能などが最適化されており、MINIブランドのなかでは特に走行性能が高い。「クーペ」のラインナップは、「クーパー」「クーパーS」「ジョン・クーパー・ワークス」の3モデルで、いずれも直列4気筒DOHC 1.6Lエンジンをベースとするが、「クーパー」は自然吸気、「クーパーS」/「ジョン・クーパー・ワークス」はターボチャージャーを組み合わせる。また、燃費性能の高いMINIのエンジンやブレーキ・エネルギー回生システム、オート・スタート／ストップ機能などが採用されたことにより、ラインナップされる5車種中3車種がエコカー減税の対象となっている。装備に、MINIとしては初めて「アクティブ・リヤ・スポイラー」を採用し、車両の走行速度が80km/hを超えると、高速走行時の空力性能の最適化に寄与する。また、車速が60km/h を下回ると、制御メカニズムが働き、スポイラーは元の位置に戻るようになっている。トランクスペースは、MINI (ハッチバック) よりも大きく、280Lもの容量を確保している。 さらに、トランクへのアクセスを良くする為に大きなトランクスル―システムが標準装備されており、2名乗車にも関わらず、大容量で多用途に活用できるラゲージスペースを備える。

The Mini Coupe is a sports car engineered and manufactured by the German automaker BMW under the Mini marque. It was unveiled in June 2011 and formally launched at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September 2011. It is the first two-seater Mini. It was joined by a convertible version called the Mini Roadster in 2012 following its showing as a concept car in 2009.
